Alex Trochut

Graphic designer and illustrator
Born in Barcelona, he began his career in graphics working In rational studios in comparison to freelance, he describes himself as a man of different types of professions, not depicting his career as a specialist in any field of design, in a conclusion he is experienced in many types of creative platforms and as a whole he is a “digital craftsmen”.

To keep himself motivated and interested in working, everyday needs to be a new project or a new branch of existing work. He said “working on the same one (project) every day, you don’t get up the same” important to developing his love of graphics, moving forward is his interest and he owes this to his success.

He has a great attachment to his late grandfather, Joan Trochut (typography designer). Although never meeting him due to his death before Alex was born, Alex grew a strong attachment to his work while studying graphic design, from learning about his work from university lectures.

Given the opportunity to have a different job for a day he wishes that he could have tried music because he admires the connection between a performer and crowed. In an interview with music artist James holden, they found together similarities with the success of visual art and musical art.

Driving his career with the idea of discovery, finding something new that has not been discovered before, draws a new factor of surprise that excites his process, creating something over and over, it may improve over time, but it will never create a change of excitement  Creating something for the first time is what drives him. The magic of creativity is that you are never fully in control.
